We both are passionate about helping small mom and pop businesses across the country grow their businesses again. One question Tony Gambone asked me is what helped me continue pushing and not quit. There are a couple reasons: First and foremost, I have 3 children that are looking at me to take care of them and show them that even when times get difficult, you can push through.  Also, I like being part of helping small business owners grow and solve challenges.

How Do You Help Small Mom and Pop Business Owners?

I convince them to re-evaluate everything. Just because you have been doing something a specific way for a long time, doesn’t mean it is the most efficient way of doing it and finding an alternative could be cost reducing. Now, I’m not saying if you are Bush’s Baked Beans you should change the secret sauce, but make it a habit of re-evaluating your entire business cycle from start to finish at least once per year. A fresh eye on everything from how you market your small business, to how you process your payments could make the difference in increasing your margins and growing your revenues.
