How to Reset a Restriction Passcode on an iPad — powered by ehow
Hi, I’m Tina Brinkley Potts, and this is how to reset a restriction passcode on an iPad. You may have forgotten your passcode, or maybe you’ve allowed other people to know what that number is, and so you need to reset it. So let’s get started. First thing you want to do is you want to go to the settings on your iPad. Once you go to settings, you go down to general. And then you will see that you have an auto lock, and beneath the auto lock is the passcode lock. Here you go in and you can change it by saying change passcode. So, I’m just going to enter a quick one here, and then you have to enter it again, and that’s it. Then you’re done. If you’ve lost your passcode, and you want to be able to reset it, you’re going to have to use iTunes and connect your device to your whatever, if maybe you’re using a PC or a Mac, you’re going to connect your iPad to that device and you’re going to restore you iPad. That is how you would reset it otherwise.
