Hi, I’m Tina Brinkley Potts, and this is how to make your LinkedIn profile stand out. You really want to have a customized Linkedin profile because it is the largest largest social network for professionals. If you’re looking for a job, it is the best place to be. So let’s get started. First, you log in to LinkedIn, and then you want to edit your profile. One of the main things you want to do is make sure you have a great profile picture. Most people waste time by not having a picture actually in their profile, and most employers will skip over you if you don’t have one. And then of course we’re in the video society, so you want to make sure you add video to your LinkedIn profile, that will really make it stand out. And I’m going to quickly show you how you can do that. You’ll come down after you click edit your profile, and just add a link. And I’m gonna sneak over to YouTube, and I’m just going to grab the link, and I’m going to copy it. On a Mac you’re just doing command+c, if you’re on a PC, you’re going to right-click and click copy, move back over to LinkedIn, and then paste your link in. For Mac users that is command+v and for PC users you would right-click and then click paste. And then once you’re done, you click continue. We now have video. So, that is one of the best things you can add right now to make sure your profile stands out. So now let’s go over and check and see what my profile looks like. So again I have a great profile picture that shows my face, and if you go down you’ll see great things about me and a video that you actually can click.
