2017 Tithing Offers
I’m so excited to announce our 2017 Tithing Offers. This is the 4th year I’ve done offers during then 12 Days of Christmas and the 2nd year I will tithe 1 million dollars in services.
Tithing As A Business Practice
Tithing offers started because I would find ways to give away all of my money. A little over 3 years ago, I looked up and realized I was giving away over $10,000 per month to people “just because I wanted to help” and if I was to value those services, it would be over $100,000 per month. The $10,000 didn’t include my intellectual property or my time. It only included the software or my employee’s time and nothing else. Essentially for these people, I was working for free. And while some people really did appreciate it, some of them didn’t miss it until it was gone. I don’t blame any of them because I did not require them to have skin in the game. After many discussions with my mentors and coaches, I discovered I would limit my success because I didn’t want to leave anyone behind. So even if you weren’t stepping up for yourself, I would step up for you.
After this discovery, I went through my entire business and had some tough conversations cutting people off. I lost friends. I lost clients. I was hurt. But, it had to be done. At that time, with my coach, we decided I was not allowed to give discounts. We knew if I had a way to give away the farm, I would. Therefore, I implemented disciplined rules about the valuation of my services. Even with my white label partners, if you wanted to sell our service, it is written into our contract what your selling price can be. If you breach that agreement, there are consequences.
While I knew this was necessary, I also still had a pulling in my heart to give back. I’ve had many people sow seeds into my life that has helped me reach this status. My mentor’s rules were simple: Honor your giving. Know it. Unconscious giving isn’t good for anyone. Through soul searching, tithing offers were born. This is the only time our services don’t fall under our strict agreements. This is not a handout but a hand up and you have to have skin in the game. These offers are 10 to 30 percent of the normal cost. That is at least at 70 percent savings! There are limited slots for each offer.
